I am a qualified Counsellor in Transactional Analysis (Post Graduate Counselling Diploma (PGCD)
and am in the final stages of advanced clinical training at the Berne Institute for an MSc in Psychotherapy. The
course is UKCP accredited. I am a student member of the Institute of Transactional Analysis.
In
addition to Counselling I am qualified to run a Weight Management Consultancy, train and mediate.
I run a private practice in Lincoln where I work with individuals,
couples or groups. Additionally I work as a Counselling Lecturer at Lincoln College and as a sessional mediator for
Lincolnshire Mediation Services. I find these three roles complement one another and offer each client the
opportunity for a unique experience towards personal growth.
I have experienced huge life changes which
have affected my health, lifestyle, relationships and career direction; this all adds to the depth of understanding,
knowledge and experience I have around making difficult and often painful personal change and has supported my qualification which
as enhanced my ability to work alongside others that are experiencing enforced or chosen change.
I am a relational therapist from a Humanistic background and assess clients for wounds, traumas or gaps they may have experienced
during their childhood development. I work with the client to update their thoughts, feelings and behaviours, in a safe environment
so they can remove blocks to change and move forward to enjoy a better quality of life in the here and now. I have a
wide range of tools, techniques and knowledge to support this work including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I work under supervision and am committed to my own personal and continuing professional development.
